Bringing our Gifts on Advent Sunday – 2nd December
It is our tradition to bring gifts to church on the first Sunday of Advent, and in the past these have ranged from toys to toiletries!  But this year would you like to help us buy some rather special gifts?  With your gifts of money we would like to enable the Highbury Day Care Centre staff to buy a suitable gift for each of the clients.
In addition, and through the Christian Aid ‘Present Aid’ catalogue, we hope to purchase something like this………..
·
£45 buys a community tap providing fresh water to an entire village in Nicaragua
·
£155 buys a greenhouse for a family in Bolivia, enabling them to grow vegetables for themselves, and more to sell
·
£235 buys a tube well (bore hole) providing a reliable source of clean safe water for a whole community in Bangladesh
·
£600 buys solar panels providing enough energy to run a health centre in a remote area in Malawi
This is just a small selection from ‘Present Aid’.  If you are a taxpayer, it is possible to Gift Aid this money by using a Christian Aid envelope, (please sign and enter the amount), which are available at church.

Any questions?
